Artist's Comments

All material was photographed by me except for the background. The girl is a photograph of myself. I spent hours on it painting and making sure all the textures cam out right. Enjoy it. By the way it is a thai inspired dragon goddess kind of feel. Hope you like it.

This is incredible. You've done an excellent job fusing the photographs, and your work on, well, yourself, I guess, is beautiful. Great stuff.

That's really beautiful, and its great to know that you can edit a photo so much that it looks like its cg'd. Fantastic.. :)

Hmm...pretty good. I don't really like how the structure in the background is transparent, the way the rocky formation shows through it. Also I think there should be heavier shadows on the middle figure (though the flat lighting does make you shine beautifully) so it blends in better with the background, or desaturate the colors a little, because it isn't blending in too well with its surroundings. I also think the shadow needs a litle work, give it a feathered edge and some more refinement in relation to light sourcing. Lastly, the image quality of the figure's adornments don't really match the quality of the figure or the background.

I don't mean to be a complete jackass, I believe that this is off to an incredible start, and there is room to take something that is already marvelous to borderline perfection.

Absolutely gorgeous. I love the metallic wings and the dragon feel that it has.

Thanks alot for your comments. Everything you have said, believe it or not, has been on my mind ever since I made it:) I kick myself every now and then because of the background, the shadows - especially lighting, and the adornments. Now having said that I know where to improve - I'm still stuck with the problem of time! I had to hand this in as a project, so didn't have much time to brush up on the things that was giving me a lump in the throat. But thanks. I'm damn glad to know there are others out there who pay attention to artworks as closely as I do! Appreciate it and I will definately improve on it...currently working on another project just of a dwelling for the dragon girl. So after I've done that, I'm sure I can easily fuse the two together - maybe a new artwork would come out. Keep well!
